What our patients are saying …

Almost every day, we receive warm, wonderful letters of thanks from former patients, their families, and friends. We thank them for taking the time to praise our staff for the excellent care they have received, for telling us about their recovery, and for sharing their “Summit Orthopedics experience” with us, which we in turn share with you here.

"I first saw Dr. Moser a few months ago after re-injuring my knee. He recommended Total Knee Replacement since the joint had deteriorated to the point where other methods of relief were no longer helpful. I had the surgery on July 3. Thanks to Dr. Moser's Team and Elaine Ito from your Physical Therapy office, I am feeling better than I have in years. I am participating in all my normal activities and being "only" 55, I am pretty busy. Thanks to everyone at Summit and St. Joseph's Hospital who helped me through the surgery and recovery."

“Everyone at Summit is always kind and courteous. Dr. Drogt is outstanding and I have recommended him to several people looking at knee replacements. I started in 1996 with osteotomies and finally at age 54, a knee replacement in 1997, and the other knee in 1999. Prior to that I was bone on bone, and counting every step I took, walking was painful. Now I have quality of life and am thankful his team looked at replacing my knees even though I was a bit young. My life had come to a standstill. I’m very active, at church, other volunteering where there is lots of walking and standing, and I can do it! I even walked seven miles at Disney World, and look forward to our adventures with friends and family, no longer worrying if I can make it up the hill or climb up or down steps and I’m eternally grateful. Dr. Drogt continues to follow my case yearly, checking those beautiful knees and answering my questions. He cares about his patients and is a very dedicated physician.”

Patient compliments on thehealthcarescoop.com

“I have experienced knee pain for about five years and had been to many doctors and physical therapists with no success. Recently I visited Dr. Biebl at Summit Orthopedics who ordered an MRI and found some damage in my knees that could be easily fixed with arthroscopic surgery. I had the surgery on my left knee and it went very well. I am virtually pain-free only months after the surgery (lateral release). I am scheduled to have the right knee done in a matter of weeks and I couldn’t be more excited to end my pain.”

“I suffered a dislocated finger at the middle joint on the index finger about one year ago. I saw Dr. Donovan at Summit Orthopedics who did surgery to repair the ligaments and ordered physical therapy. This has helped me get most of the range of motion back without the pain I was experiencing before. I would highly recommend the entire Summit group as well as Dr. Donovan. The entire staff is knowledgeable and friendly, putting the patient first.”

“Dr. Khetia was awesome. I am a very active and busy person, and probably a bit of a difficult patient. He took time to listen to my concerns, understand what I wanted my end results to be, and hooked me up with a wonderful physical therapist. The surgery, along with his aftercare plan for me, worked wonders. My “bad” shoulder has now become my best shoulder and eight months later I am back to swimming laps, running, biking, and weight lifting. The looseness and the feeling of always being on the verge of dislocating is gone, the muscle knots I used to get from my shoulder trying to stabilize are nonexistent, and I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out! I would recommend Dr. Khetia to anyone including my grandmother.”

“Dear Dr. Yellin – It has been two years since my total knee replacement, and I need to stop for a moment and let you know how wonderful my life is! Before my knee surgery, at age 57, I was walking minimally, and having great difficulty standing in one place for even one minute, due to aching in my knee. I was constantly looking for a chair so I could sit down. My knee locked up about sixty times each and every day, whenever I bent it more than five degrees. You can imagine what I looked like as I moved through my daily life. The surgery went so well and I reclaimed my mobility far beyond what I ever expected a knee replacement could offer.”

A very happy patient submitted a special recognition to the St. Paul Pioneer Press’ Sainted & Tainted section.

“Sainted. Dr. Paul Hartleben, Dr. John Shearen, Cami, and Kathy at Summit Orthopedics and all the Woodwinds Hospital angels including Dr. Thomas Cathey, Pamela, Eric, Scott, Stephanie, and Denise, who welcomed our entire family from the front door on through four very difficult days of surgeries and recovery. Angel wings to the volunteers and Christmas carolers who saved Christmas joy and hope for all who entered. Happy New Year.”
