Vijay Eyunni, MD provides greater understanding of Occupational Medicine

In an interview with the publishers of Employee Benefits and Minnesota Physician magazines, Vijay Eyunni, MD of Minnesota Occupational Health explained that ocupational medicine provides high quality medical care and injury prevention for employees and employers.

Occupational medicine physicians perform drug testing, regulatory exams for employees working with chemicals, asbestos and noise, as well as ergonomic evaluations to train employees proper lifting and bending techniques to reduce the rate of injuries. According to Dr. Eyunni, there has been a 40 percent drop in work-related injuries in the past 10 to 15 years.

Dr. Eyunni is currently a team physician with the Minnesota Twins and the professional lacrosse team, the Minnesota Swarm.
