Summit Care Suites Offer Secure Tracks Therapy
Innovative post-surgical care is a hallmark of our Vadnais Heights and Eagan Care Suites—you won’t find our specialty Secure Tracks therapy offered anywhere else in the Midwest.
Successful total joint replacement surgery takes a team of orthopedic specialists. Physicians, surgeons, nurses, and physical therapists work closely together to guide you through preparation for surgery, the clinical procedure to repair your joint, and personalized rehabilitation. At Summit, we are committed to help you recover as much joint function as possible so that you can achieve your lifestyle goals.
The post-surgical rehabilitation process is critical to safely regaining range of motion in hip, knee, and ankle joints. Patients treated at our Vadnais Heights and Eagan Surgery Centers and Care Suites have a special advantage: access to use of the specialty Secure Tracks physical therapy device. No other rehabilitation program in the Midwest offers the Secure Tracks therapy system.
Secure Tracks represents an innovative advance in post-surgical walking programs. During therapy, the Secure Tracks equipment supports patients in a secure frame that glides along a ceiling mounted monorail, moving with you as you take each step. The frame supports you in an upright position as you adjust to your new joint and reclaim your gait after surgery. With your upper body supported as you walk and your physical therapist guiding your progress, Secure Tracks allows you to start walking sooner after surgery, protects you from falls that could injure your new joint, and helps you to improve your natural gait as you recover.
This accelerated walking program provides a level of safety and confidence that encourages you to progress more quickly toward your personal recovery goals. Our therapists work with you during your Care Suites stay, supervising your work on Secure Tracks, guiding you in recovering your natural gait through a correct heel to toe motion, and celebrating your headway with compassionate, positive encouragement. The artwork along the Secure Tracks therapeutic route provides further inspiration with messages and images that reinforce your progress.
We are proud to support your surgical recovery with the safest and most effective therapeutic aids available, and invite you to preview our Care Suites Secure Tracks rehabilitation program for yourself along with our other videos about a new total joint experience by clicking here.
