Summit’s New Surgical Recovery Experience
The decision to consider surgery is never made lightly at Summit Orthopedics. We provide patients with the information they need to make a well-informed decision, including videos to walk them through our personalized surgery and recovery experience.
At Summit Orthopedics, we are dedicated to providing bone and joint care that will keep you functioning at your best. Our approach to care is conservative, and we offer a full range of non-surgical treatments to address joint issues. However, when joint pain can no longer be controlled by physical therapy, medication, or other non-invasive methods, our physicians sit down with you to talk about surgical options and consider the best approach for your individual circumstances and goals.
We understand that surgery and rehabilitation can be a daunting prospect, particularly when the surgery being considered is a larger joint surgery, like a total knee and hip procedure. These surgeries were once exclusively performed in an imposing hospital environment. Patients recovered in modest hospital rooms, where visiting friends and family crowded in to provide encouragement and support. The recuperation process was lengthy, and could involve long trips to separate rehabilitative facilities.
Summit’s new state-of-the-art Surgery Center and Care Suites at our Vadnais Heights and Eagan locations offer a personalized alternative to a hospital stay for appropriate total joint replacement and spine procedure patients—with an emphasis on comfort. Quality of care is our priority, and our Vadnais Heights Surgery Center has earned The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for compliance with national standards for health care quality and safety.
Our full-service patient experience begins with your first consultation, guiding you through diagnosis, development of a treatment plan, the clinical care of a specialized surgical team, and recovery in a quiet luxurious care suite located on the same floor as our surgical suites. Post-surgical rehabilitation is supported on-site by Secure Tracks—the latest advancement in reconstructive surgery therapy. The Secure Tracks system at Summit is the only one of its kind available in the Midwest.
We strive to provide a surgical experience that is second to none, and invite you to review our facilities through our video tours of our Vadnais Heights Surgery Center and Care Suites by clicking here.
