Attend Fit Fest For Healthy Lifestyle Tips
This Saturday, our community is invited to attend the first annual Fit Fest, where Summit Orthopedics sports medicine physician, Eric Khetia, will present a seminar explaining how to enjoy an active lifestyle while preventing common knee and shoulder injuries.

We know that an active lifestyle is our investment in a vibrant, healthy future. Healthy living requires commitment and the cultivation of health-conscious habits—and we can all use a little inspiration to keep us on the path to good health. With this in mind, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine has organized the first annual Fit Fest on Saturday, May 30th. From 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., attendees will find a variety of fitness classes, exciting products and services, and expert-led seminars designed to kick start the habits that promote an active lifestyle.
Fit Fest includes activities for everyone. Throughout the day, local and national fitness instructors and trainers will hold group classes to teach yoga, resistance and cardio training, spin cycling, kickboxing, interval training, body toning, and more. The Fit Fest health expo will be filled with booths where you’ll be able to shop, enter giveaways, and explore products and services that support a healthy lifestyle. Those drawn to an interactive seminar format can choose from twelve seminars held throughout the day on topics including nutrition, injury prevention, and pain management.
At 2:30 p.m., Summit Orthopedics sports medicine physician, Dr. Eric Khetia, will present a seminar titled “Live active: An expert guide to preventing knee and shoulder injuries.” His seminar is designed to educate and equip you to live a healthier and more active life. He will explain the most common knee and shoulder injuries experienced by active adults, with guidance about what to do if you are affected by a knee or shoulder problem, and prevention tips to help you avoid these injuries before they happen.
If you are looking for information and guidance to safely pursue your fitness goals, we would be delighted to welcome you to Fit Fest, and invite you to say hello to Dr. Khetia at his seminar. Fit Fest will be held at the University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness Center on campus. Ticket information is available at http://mspmag.com/Contests-And-Promotions/Fit-Fest/Tickets/
