Summit Physicians Recognized As 2015 “Top Docs”
Summit Orthopedics is proud of our “Top Doctors” recognized by their Twin Cities peers.
Every year, Mpls.St. Paul Magazine asks 5,000 licensed doctors and registered nurses in the Twin Cities to nominate one or more physicians, excluding themselves, to whom they would go for medical care. This year, nearly 750 doctors in 42 specialties were submitted and then further evaluated based on peer recognition, professional achievement, and disciplinary history. Many of this year’s Top Doctors have specialty board certification that requires substantial additional training in a doctor’s area of expertise.
Summit Orthopedics is proud that six of our dedicated physicians were chosen by their Twin Cities colleagues for inclusion in the 2015 list. Amy Beacom, MD
Dr. Beacom’s specialties include sports medicine, shoulder, ankle and foot, knee, running, and swimming. Her dedication to running and swimming orthopedic injuries is reflected in her service as a team physician for USA Swimming and the Minnesota Twins. She takes great pleasure in helping her patients maintain and reclaim an active lifestyle.
Kristoffer Breien, MD
Dr. Breien’s specialties are hip, knee, sports medicine, joint preservation and restoration, complex revision knee and hip replacement, arthroscopic procedures, and fracture care. He focuses mainly on lower extremity injuries and issues, and loves to engage patients, answer their questions, and help them get back to the activities they love.
Peter Daly, MD
Dr. Daly’s specialties include knee, shoulder, hip, sports medicine, and joint preservation and restoration. Because shoulder arthritis has prompted him to adjust his own activities, he brings personal perspective as well as medical expertise to his patients who are also dealing with arthritis issues.
Jack Drogt, MD
Dr. Drogt’s specialties include knee, hip, joint preservation and restoration, arthroscopy, and knee and hip arthritis. His expertise lies in knee and hip reconstruction. Dr. Drogt engages with each patient’s goals, and works with them to address their expectations and help them meet their individual goals.
Michael Forseth, MD
Dr. Forseth’s specialties include hand, wrist, and elbow, complex reconstructive surgery of upper extremities, and microsurgery. As the parent of three athletic children, Dr. Forseth is sensitive to the needs of his young patients. His safety advice to help prevent common childhood injuries was recently featured in Minnesota Parent.
James Gannon, MD
Dr. Gannon’s specialties include knee, shoulder, sports medicine, joint preservation and restoration, and arthroscopy. He has practiced in St. Paul for 20 years, caring for three generations of families who see him as their primary care physician for the musculoskeletal system.
