Summit RN Honored With Outstanding Nurse Award

Summit Orthopedics applauds the recognition of Beckie Hines, RN, with a 2015 Outstanding Nurse Award in Administrative Leadership by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.

Our nurses are an integral and invaluable part of the medical team at Summit Orthopedics. They provide our patients with medical support, education, and compassionate care, and provide our organization with leadership in service to our healthcare mission. It is with great pride that we celebrate the selection of Beckie Hines by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine as a 2015 Outstanding Nurse awardee.

For the last four years, the magazine has celebrated nurses with an annual event honoring a selection of nurses who have made distinguished contributions to healthcare in the Twin Cities. This year, 20 Outstanding Nurses were chosen from a group of 70 finalists. Nominations are made by the public and the medical community, and evaluated by a team of working nurses.

The 2015 finalists were honored on July 14th at an event hosted by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine. During the evening, winners in 20 award categories were announced and celebrated.

Summit Orthopedics’ Beckie Hines received the Award for Outstanding Nurse in Administrative Leadership, in recognition of her tireless and innovative service as Director of Perioperative Services. She manages Summit’s surgery centers, 12 operating rooms, and a staff of approximately 168 healthcare and support professionals.

“Beckie does a great job of implementing practices and policies for high-quality clinical care,” says Summit COO Bill Frommelt. “We work in a highly regulated environment, and Beckie has the attention to detail to ensure that our policies and protocols are flawless.”

From coordinating Summit’s multidisciplinary teams of physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgery team members to refining the service of our Vadnais Heights surgery center through an overnight stay in a care suite for a firsthand understanding of the patient experience, Hines lives Summit’s commitment: we are here to provide the highest quality of orthopedic care and help our patients reach their personal summits for a healthy and rewarding lifestyle.

“I tend to be more conservative in my approach, reserving surgery as a last option. In essence, I strive to care for patients and their problems in the same manner my family and I expect to be treated when we seek medical attention.”
