Minnesota Monthly Names Summit Doctors Among The Best
Every year, Minnesota Monthly asks 10,000 licensed doctors in our state to tell us which doctors they would go to for medical care. Summit Orthopedics is proud of our physicians named among the magazine’s list of best doctors in 2015.

Selecting a doctor is one of the most important health care decisions we make—and it’s not always easy to evaluate all of the information available. Minnesota Monthly approaches this task by going to some of the people who know doctors best: other doctors. Summit Orthopedics is honored that our medical colleagues in Minnesota included four Summit doctors in their list of the orthopedic specialists they would trust for their own orthopedic and sports medicine care.
In March, researchers contacted more than 10,000 licensed doctors in Minnesota and asked each to name the doctors they would choose if they—or a loved one—needed medical care. Respondents were asked to name up to three doctors in each of 49 specialty areas. When the answers were tallied, 768 doctors had the most votes as trusted peers with respected professional expertise. Among those doctors were four of our own, in two specialty areas:
Specialty Area: Orthopedic
Dr. Breien’s specialties are hip, knee, sports medicine, joint preservation and restoration, complex revision knee and hip replacement, arthroscopic procedures, and fracture care. He focuses mainly on lower extremity injuries and issues, and loves to engage patients, answer their questions, and help them get back to the activities they love.
Dr. Daly’s specialties include knee, shoulder, hip, sports medicine, and joint preservation and restoration. Because shoulder arthritis has prompted him to adjust his own activities, he brings personal perspective as well as medical expertise to his patients who are also dealing with arthritis.
Dr. Gannon’s specialties include knee, shoulder, sports medicine, joint preservation and restoration, and arthroscopy. He has practiced in St. Paul for 20 years, caring for three generations of families who see him as their primary care physician for the muscular skeletal system.
Specialty Area: Sports Medicine
Dr. Voight’s specialties include ankle, foot, knee, and shoulder. As a runner herself, she understands the dedication of runners and the rigors of marathon races. Dr. Voight enjoys supporting the running community by providing medical coverage at many community races and marathons.
