Summit Orthopedics: Expanding To Serve Our Community
Caring for our community’s orthopedic wellness needs is the first priority of Summit Orthopedics. We are finalizing plans to expand our accessibility and facilities soon with a proposed expansion into Woodbury’s Bielenberg Sports Center.
Summit Orthopedics is committed to bringing the highest quality of accessible, affordable orthopedic care to our Twin Cities community. We recently announced plans to build a new state-of-the-art surgery center in Eagan, and to expand our spine treatment resources through our merger with the Institute for Low Back and Neck Care. This week, we have more exciting news: we have been collaboratively working with the City of Woodbury to provide expanded wellness and healthcare services at the Bielenberg Sports Center.
The expansive facilities at the Bielenberg Sports Center make it a natural fit for Summit. The sports center offers exciting possibilities for educational, preventative training, and therapeutic spaces to support the Woodbury community. The facility was recently updated, expanding the size of its field house to 90,000 square feet and adding an outdoor refrigerated skating rink. The lobby and meeting rooms were also expanded, providing ideal space for educational seminars and other health-related activities.
Our dedication to community health encompasses support for healthful habits that encourage an active, fit lifestyle. Encouraging children in active play is fundamental to a lifestyle that supports healthy bones. With that vision in mind, our expansion proposal includes generous funding for the Madison Claire Foundation’s Madison Place, a public handicapped-accessible playground adjacent to the Bielenberg Sports Center.
Summit’s proposal for use of the Bielenberg Sports Center was selected from five proposals submitted to Woodbury’s city council, and will now be placed on the city council meeting agenda for discussion and final consideration.
We look forward to updating you as this exciting initiative advances. At Summit, we are always pursuing opportunities to contribute to the health of our community, and we are thrilled at the prospect of this opportunity at Bielenberg Sports Center.
