New Summit Wellness Center Programs: Personalized To Your Goals
No two people define wellness the same way. Summit’s new wellness programs were created to encourage you to pursue your unique fitness priorities, whether you are a high school athlete or a proud active grandparent.
At Summit Orthopedics, we understand that exceeding your expectations for orthopedic care goes beyond gold-standard treatments from highly skilled specialists; it is also our job to support and extend your health with services designed to help you enjoy the activities you love for a lifetime.
The wellness programs offered at our new HealthEast Sports Center facilities were created to do just that: provide you with a comprehensive suite of services, including wellness consultations, nutrition resources, personal training, fitness classes, and community education designed to help you achieve your unique goals for a happy and healthy life.
We are celebrating our grand opening at HealthEast Sports Center on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, with an Amazing Race event the entire family will enjoy. And we want to make it easy for you to explore the wellness resources offered in our new sports center. That’s why we are offering free 30-minute one-on-one Wellness Consultations. When you arrive for your consultation, a member of our wellness staff will talk with you to understand your concerns and goals, and develop a personalized plan—defined by the activities that are comfortable and appealing to you—to start you on the path to successfully reaching your unique fitness summit. Your plan may include a combination of any of the following services offered at our HealthEast Sports Center facility:
You can meet with our registered dietician to discuss your nutritional needs—whether you want to boost your athletic stamina, take off a few stubborn pounds, or minimize arthritis-related inflammation—and develop a nutrition plan designed to achieve your goal.
Individual and Small-Group Training
You might set up a series of sessions with one of our performance specialists for strength and conditioning coaching. If you are more comfortable—or motivated—exercising with a spouse or a few close friends, you can elect a series of sessions that includes up to four group members. Our performance specialists offer a wide range of training tools tailored to your goals, whether you are focused on preventing injury, maintaining fitness, or increasing your athletic performance. If you are in rehabilitation with a Summit physical therapist, your performance specialist and physical therapist may work together to provide extra support until you’ve regained the functional abilities you want to have.
Group Fitness Classes
Whether you prefer the serene relaxation of a gentle yoga class or a high-energy cardio workout, you’ll find the fitness approach that’s perfect for you among our seven ongoing fitness classes designed to welcome beginners as well as conditioned athletes. Classes begin in September—watch our website for more information.
Summit providers will teach evening sessions on a variety of topics. Check our website for classes addressing topics such as concussions and sports safety, training for a 5K, or easy ways to make nutritious tweaks in your diet.
