Summit Orthopedics And HealthEast Partner To Provide Specialized Orthopedic Care
Orthopedic medical expertise is the heart of Summit Orthopedics’ mission, and our new partnership with HealthEast expands our ability to serve our Twin Cities community.
On June 6, 2017, Summit Orthopedics and HealthEast, part of Fairview Health Services, announced that their boards of directors have approved a comprehensive inpatient and outpatient agreement: Summit will become HealthEast’s exclusive orthopedic care partner. Through this partnership, both healthcare organizations will be able to expand their ability to improve the quality of patient care.
Outpatient care: Vadnais Heights Surgery Center
This agreement makes HealthEast a minority owner of Summit’s nationally recognized Vadnais Heights Surgery Center. The Vadnais Heights facility is one of only two outpatient centers nationwide to receive The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement.
Inpatient care: HealthEast hospitals
By partnering with HealthEast, Summit’s orthopedic experts will engage with patients at each of the HealthEast inpatient hospitals, creating a model for orthopedic care delivery that doesn’t currently exist in the Minnesota marketplace. This exclusive arrangement positions Summit’s orthopedic subspecialists to cover calls, provide on-site orthopedic expertise, and implement ways to improve the patient experience and quality of care for orthopedic patients.
