More Resources for you
My name is Eric Lund and I’m an Orthopedic Traumatologist. I grew up in Minnesota and then went away for undergrad but came home and fell in love with medicine at the University of Minnesota for medical school. Then found a residency spot, Northpeak Surgery, in Madison Wisconsin at the University of Wisconsin. Every year you rotate on the trauma service for five different times and that was always the most enjoyable rotation. The patients and the providers are the ones I connected with the most. I just saw myself becoming one of those guys. I was very excited when I landed a spot in Tampa Florida with Florida Orthopedic Institute for a trauma fellowship. What I like most about orthopedic surgery and specifically orthopedic trauma, is the patients are going through a very challenging time in their life. They just sustained a significant trauma. A car accident or a fall down the stairs and you get to help walk them through that very trying, scary time in their life and bring them to recovery. Between my wife and our new year and a half old baby life is very fun and busy at home. That’s my number one favorite thing in the morning, is to go into our son’s room and wake him up. Pull him out of the crib. If I have free, time I stay pretty active. I really have a passion for hockey. I played in high school and college. I still play in men’s leagues and with friends. I think I want patients to know that they can trust me and the things I will decide for their care. I have my full heart behind them and it has their interests as priority number one.
