The Physician Assistant functions as first or second assist in the operating room, including performing surgical exposure, surgical dissections, layer closure of wounds, etc. The PA will triages patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Conducts physical exams, taking medical history, image interpretation and patient evaluation/care.

This is a full-time position is working directly with an Upper Extremity Physician and team. Scheduled day hours are Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (will vary depending on clinic/OR and Team needs.)  This role involves working closely with the surgeon to diagnose and treat patients; this role will be assisting in surgery as needed. Primary locations will be our Eagan, Plymouth and Eden Prairie Campuses, and Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

Providers (PA/NP) that will work in non-Summit locations may need to be fully vaccinated or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to start date.  These guidelines are determined by each non-Summit location and will be adhered to as appropriate.
