This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

This is a full time role and will primarily float between our Vadnais Heights and Eagan Surgery Center. It will provide support to the other Summit Ambulatory Surgery Center locations as needed.
The advanced practice nurse/mid-level provider, referred to as the Patient Navigator, provides a variety of services when delivering patient care. Duties and functions of the Patient Navigator include but are not limited to:
Admission and discharge of patients
Risk stratification of total joint and complex spine surgical candidates
Diagnose, treat and manage patient care.
Provide expert clinical support and expertise.
Educate patients regarding their surgical experience, including how to prepare for the procedure and what to expect afterwards.
Coordinate patient care schedule
Prescribe required postoperative medications

- Required: Masters in Nurse Practitioner
- Preferred: Experience in orthopedics is preferred.
