The Customer Care Representative is the initial point of contact for customer service inquiries requiring research, triaging and coordination of internal handoffs within Minnesota Occupational Health.  Supported by the Business Development and Operations Leadership team, this role will also help maintain the accuracy of employer records including client demographics, protocols, pricing, staff instructions in addition to various lists of clients, prospects and strategic partners, coaching of staff and internal referrals.  

Develop a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety including workers’ compensation, FMCSA, drug and alcohol testing, in addition to compliance requirements for respirator, silica, asbestos, hearing conservation and vision medical surveillance, among others.

Create, update and run periodic reports using electronic health records software and various spreadsheet lists from various EMR systems.

Provide customer service support for client inquiries by determining the validity, accuracy and nature of the request.

Answer and redirect incoming telephone / email inquiries to the appropriate Business Development consultant or MOH representative.

Proactively engage new accounts to ensure usage and satisfaction.

Provide composition, preparation, and distribution support of communications and presentations.

Receive, review and verify documents, records and forms for accuracy and completeness.

Maintain accurate and current shared files or other records.

Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Preferred: Some post college in Health Administration
  • Required: High School


  • Preferred: High school diploma; post-secondary education highly preferred.
  • Required: Minimum of two (2) years administrative support experience, preferably in a healthcare or occupational medicine environment. Previous experience in administrative support to sales/business development teams highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft suite with proficiency in Adobe Pro strongly desired
