The Operating Room nurse will be scrub and circulate for all orthopedic cases at the Surgery Center.  The surgical  Surgical scrub (RN Surgical Scrub), functions as an integral part of the surgical team. The RN Surgical Scrub possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, equipment, tools, and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers.  Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

This casual opportunity is based at our Landmark Surgery Center in Woodbury, MN.  Flexibility to float to the other sites is required.  Minimum of 2 shifts per month.  

This position is eligible for a $1,000 Sign-on bonus.

Education

  • Required: Associates in Nursing

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 6 months of Operating Room (Scrubbing and Circulating) experience required. Orthopedic and/or pain management experience is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Basic Life Support
