This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

Under the supervision of the Site Manager or Director of Perioperative Services or their the Purchasing Specialist / Case Cart Aide assumes responsibility for placing orders, receiving / checking in orders, maintaining accurate inventory and charging methods for the entire surgery center. The Purchasing Specialist /Case Cart Aide will also be responsible for picking all surgical procedures for scheduled case from physician preference cards, and for obtaining all special request items when procedures are scheduled. The Purchasing Specialist will be able to provide backup in sterile processing/ decontamination areas and instrument assembly when needed.
This is for a full-time opportunity that will provide support to the Summit Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This role will be primarily based in Minnetonka. Must be flexible to float to all Summit sites as needed.

Education
- Required: High School
Experience
- Required: One year of purchasing and/or inventory control experience required. Experience in the healthcare setting prefered.
