This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers.  Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

Position eligible for a $5,000 Sign-On bonus (pro rated based on FTE) 

The Operating Room nurse will circulate for all orthopedic cases at the Surgery Center.  The nurse functions as an integral part of the surgical team. The RN possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, equipment, tools, and technologies to facilitate a physician’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

This position is a part-time role (0.625 FTE or 25 hours per week)  primarily based at the Vadnais Heights Surgery Center.

10 hour shifts, day schedule (subject to change). Flexibility to float to different ASC locations as needed.

Week 1 schedule: Monday, Thursday and Friday

Week 2 schedule: Tuesday and Friday

Education

  • Preferred: Bachelors in Nursing
  • Required: Associates in Nursing

Experience

  • Preferred: Successful completion of of post-basic OR course
  • Required: Six months of previous recent experience required

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Sup
  • Required: Basic Life Support
