This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

The SAU (Surgical Admission Unit) / PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) registered nurse provides skilled nursing assessment, plans and evaluates treatment, and administers appropriate nursing intervention to all patients admitted to the surgery center. The SAU/PACU registered nurse collects, interprets, documents, and communicates patient information in accordance with State and Federal guidelines, rules and regulations applicable to the facility setting.
This position is for a casual RN - SAU/PACU role. Minimum of 2 shifts per month once completed successful orientation/onboarding.
Flexibility to float to other sites as needed.

Education
- Preferred: Bachelors in Nursing
- Required: Associates in Nursing
Experience
- Required: A minimum of one year acute care experience. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS are required.
