This Summit Orthopedics position is subject to the requirements outlined in the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule making Covid-19 vaccinations mandatory for employees in most health care settings, including those in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Candidates for employment who will perform work within any of Summit’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers will need to be fully vaccinated, which means at least two weeks post final vaccine, or have been granted an approved medical or religious exemption prior to a start date.

The Surgery Center Coordinator assumes responsibility for scheduling Surgery Center procedures and registration of patients, the collection of insurance information and payments if required. Verifies all required components of the patient chart are present. The Surgery Center Coordinator greets Surgery Center patients, vendors, and visitors. Must have strong ability to multi task and work in a high demand/volume area, previous healthcare front desk/scheduling experience is preferred. In addition, this role will be cross trained to assist with Injection Scheduling.
This is for a full time opportunity based at the Eagan Surgery Center. This will be also require the ability to float to other sites as needed. Scheduled day hours are Monday - Friday, 8 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (subject to change and specific hours to be discussed at the time of the interview)

Experience
- Required: Minimum 1-year experience in healthcare (scheduling, billing, call center, registration, financial counseling) is required.
