About

Orthopedic Trauma Care for an Active Minnesota Community

Minnesota has always been home for me. I grew up in Edina, and I’ve loved being part of the Twin Cities community ever since. After completing my orthopedic training, I was eager to return home and care for the residents of Minnesota. I specialize in treating complex fractures and injuries across the body, including the pelvis, acetabulum, hip, and both upper and lower extremities.

Minnesotans are hardworking, resilient, and active, with high expectations for returning to their favorite activities after an injury. It’s an honor to care for our community in times of need, whether in the hospital or clinic setting.

Orthopedic Trauma Practice Focus

My practice focuses on orthopedic trauma, including complex joint fractures, fracture nonunions and malunions, and bone infections (osteomyelitis). Trauma care is uniquely challenging because it often happens suddenly and requires urgent attention. My goal is always to minimize pain, optimize recovery, and help patients regain function so they can return to the activities they love.

Practice Philosophy

When I meet a patient for the first time, I strive to listen carefully to their story and understand their goals. I approach each situation with optimism, open communication, and realistic expectations. The greatest compliment I can receive is when patients trust me enough to refer family and friends or return for care in the future.

Life Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, my focus is on family. My wife and I enjoy spending time with our children, often on the ice — playing, coaching, or watching hockey. We love attending local concerts and shows and going to northern Minnesota or visiting family in Iowa when we can. I also enjoy staying active through running, strength classes, and keeping up with our busy family life.

Interests and Achievements

Personally, my proudest achievement is parenting our two children while balancing a career that I find incredibly rewarding.
