How should I prepare?

You can eat, drink and take your regularly prescribed medications prior to your MRI. Since you are unable to move during an MRI, it is possible that you will experience minor pain and stiffness. Please feel free to take pain medication one hour before your exam to help maintain comfort.

You should wear comfortable clothes without metal fasteners, such as zippers and buckles and minimal jewelry. If necessary, our office can provide a cloth gown or shorts.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your exam. Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late may have to be rescheduled for another date and time.
