Will the MRI be noisy?

When an MRI is making an image, the current is switched on and off rapidly, causing a vibration of the metal coils. The result is a rapid-fire clicking noise, which sounds louder because you’re in an enclosed space. You’ll have the option of wearing earplugs or listening to music.
