The Quality Improvement Advisor plays a key role in advancing high quality, patient centered care within our organization. This role is responsible for leading quality and process improvement initiatives, analyzing and presenting clinical and operational data, and fostering a culture of high reliability. The Quality Improvement Advisor brings expertise in data analytics, process improvement methodology, and healthcare quality standards, while serving as a trusted advisor to operational leaders and staff.
This is a full-time role based at our corporate office in Woodbury, MN. Monday – Friday daytime schedule. This role may require flexibility to travel to all Summit locations as needed.

Design, implement and manage quality and process improvement initiatives that align with organizational goals in patient safety, clinical quality, and operational efficiency.
- Aggregate, validate, analyze and report on clinical, operational, and patient experience data. Create dashboards, reports, and presentations for a variety of stakeholders to inform decision making.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to quality, safety, efficiency, and compliance. Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with departments including operations, IT, Finance, and clinical teams to support data collection processes, validate reporting and implement system wide improvements.
- Manage timely and accurate data submissions to external regulators, accrediting bodies and value-based care programs (CMS, Joint Commision, MIPS). Support survey readiness and compliance activities.
- Educate providers, staff, and leaders on quality metrics, process improvement methodologies (PDSA, Lean Six Sigma), and the use of data to drive the high-reliability performance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of clinical and administrative workflows to ensure accurate interpretation and application of data.
- Contribute to policy and process development, data audits, documentation reviews, and other quality-focused initiatives as needed.
Summit’s hiring range for this position is $80,444 to $100,556 per year. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation.
