Under the direction of the Medical Imaging Manager, the Imaging Supervisor coordinates and is responsible for day-to-day clinic site activities for medical imaging area, as assigned. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, staff supervision, scheduling, employee engagement, administrative support, resolution of patient and employee issues, and other operational issues. The Imaging supervisor will provide direct supervision to the clinic radiologic technologists at a variety of Summit locations. The Imaging Supervisor will also assist with imaging coverage needs due to call-ins and/or PTO requests and serve as backup support in imaging services for which they are trained.
This is a full-time position based at our Eagan Campus. ARRT (RT) certification is required for this position. Monday – Friday schedule with after hours and weekend support as applicable. Must be flexible to float to other Summit locations as needed.
Primary Duties:
- Provides support for employee staffing and supervisory duties for medical imaging staff, including interviewing, hire and onboarding of new employees; Timecard administration, conducting performance reviews; Engagement activities (individual and team), coach and address performance issues; Address complaints and resolution of issues; and ensure the timely completion of required paperwork records, documents, etc.
- Develop and adjust staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage. If staffing needs dictate, may serve as backup, performing clinical duties at any imaging location which they are properly trained.
- Approve and process timecards of assigned Imaging staff and will also serve as proxy to the Imaging Manager when/as needed for other medical imaging teams.
- Assist with orientation and training of new and existing employees in the workflows/processes and expectations required to meet practice standards specific to quality, quantity and safety. Assist with new physician onboarding.
- Provide orientation and training for X-Ray operators at MN Occupational Health campuses and provide necessary support, as needed.
- Assist the Radiation Safety Liaisons for all X-ray sites, fulfill all regulatory requirements, assist with MDH audits and inspections and provide thorough follow up as needed. Assist with MRI and CT accreditation process.
- Coordinate student clinical rotations with Radiologic Technologist education programs.
- Provide resource support for imaging operations, including internal process improvement activities, maintenance and updating of clinical policies and procedures, special imaging projects, as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with other leaders and departments to resolve issues, create streamlined processes and identify opportunity for improvement.
- Monitor compliance with all clinic procedures and regulations and ensuring that the team members do the same.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Summit’s hiring range for this position is $89,323 – $111,655 per year. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation.
