Dedicated Foot and Ankle Surgeon
I specialize in foot and ankle surgery as well as orthopedic sports medicine. I see a lot of complex foot and ankle trauma and complex reconstructions of the foot and ankle, and when patients have a traumatic injury, expertise can make a meaningful difference in outcomes. When it comes to surgery, I pride myself on getting it right the first time. My goal is to get people back to doing the work or hobbies they want to do.
Foundations of Dr. Rupke’s Approach to Care
My mantra is simple: do the best job you can, and be kind to everyone.
I try to be as honest as possible with people, and my patients tend to appreciate that. I explain what to expect, both short term and long term, as realistically as I can. That includes discussing any challenges I can foresee, as well as what they can do to improve their outcomes, such as making changes to nutrition and exercise.
I have a special interest in treating women, from young athletes to older adults. I stay current with the latest research on menopause’s impact on the musculoskeletal system to address this population’s needs.
Dr. Rupke’s Passion for Running
Outside the office, my passion is running. I ran in college, and over the past few years (as my children have gotten older), I have gotten into marathon running. I ran the Boston Marathon in 2025, which was a big accomplishment for me.
Having a hobby that’s important to me helps me empathize with patients, because I understand what’s at stake. I would be devastated if I couldn’t run. Everybody has something they love, and we all want to be able to function at our highest level, without pain.
