Summit Orthopedics Announces New State of the Art Facility in Plymouth
Summit Orthopedics will be building a new state-of-the-art hub — the Plymouth Bass Lake Clinic and Plymouth Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) — located at 494 and Bass Lake Road. The hub is being developed by Scannell Properties as part of the re-development and master re-design of a former 75-acre Prudential Insurance campus. Groundbreaking took place in early summer 2024, and the facility is expected to open in fall of 2025.
This new location will expand Summit’s presence in the northwest metro, offering the same high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care trusted across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
Conveniently Located at 494 and Bass Lake Road
Strategically positioned at the intersection of 494 and Bass Lake Road, the new clinic offers easy access for patients in Plymouth, Maple Grove, New Hope, and surrounding communities.
A New Orthopedic Hub Designed for the Future of Patient Care
The Plymouth Bass Lake Clinic is more than a new facility — it’s a forward-looking healthcare destination built to deliver convenience, efficiency, and exceptional outcomes. As part of a major redevelopment project, it represents a long-term investment in the orthopedic health of the West Metro.
Key features of the Plymouth hub will include:
- Ambulatory Surgery Center: Equipped with cutting-edge technology, Summit Orthopedics’ surgery center will offer patients a seamless and efficient experience for a variety of orthopedic procedures, including total joints, spine, sports and spine injections.
- Clinic Space: The clinic will serve as a hub for consultations, evaluations, and ongoing patient care, fostering a welcoming environment for both patients and the medical team.
- Physical and Hand Therapy, and Bracing and Orthotics: A fully integrated therapy and bracing space will facilitate rehabilitation, ensuring that patients receive personalized and effective treatment to regain mobility and strength.
- MRI, CT and Imaging Services: On-site MRI, CT and X-Ray services will streamline the diagnostic process and expedite the development of tailored treatment plans.
- Orthopedic Urgent Care: Recognizing the importance of timely care, the orthopedic urgent care services will provide prompt attention to acute orthopedic issues, addressing urgent needs with expertise and compassion.
A Message from Summit Orthopedics’ CEO
“We are committed to continuing to transform lives through our unparalleled orthopedic care that prioritizes compassionate care, quality outcomes and patient convenience,” said Adam Berry, CEO of Summit Orthopedics. “Our new Plymouth hub will be a healthcare destination offering comprehensive orthopedic care under one roof to residents in the northwest metro communities.”
Part of a Growing Network of Orthopedic Excellence
The Plymouth hub will be Summit Orthopedics’ sixth state-of-the-art center for comprehensive orthopedic care, along with existing facilities in Eagan, Vadnais Heights, Woodbury, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka and several additional community clinics throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
Developed in Partnership with Scannell Properties
“We are thrilled to being working with Summit Orthopedics on this project,” said Dan Salzer, Director of Development with Scannell properties. “Summit’s new hub is on track to be the first building to break ground in the development and will be a key component to breathing new life into the long-underutilized site.”
Scannell acquired the 75-acre site in August 2022 as part of a joint venture with Roers Companies, a national multifamily property development and management company based in Plymouth.
What Happens to Summit’s Existing Plymouth Location?
Summit Orthopedics’ current Plymouth clinic at 15700 37th Ave North will remain open during construction. Once the new hub opens in Fall 2025, staff and services will relocate to the Plymouth Bass Lake Clinic, ensuring a seamless transition for patients.
