That is why we are proud to share that Dr. Michael Baer, orthopedic surgeon and partner, has been named to the 2026 40 Under 40 list by Minneapolis-St Paul Business Journal.
This award honors leaders in the Twin Cities who are making a strong impact. For Dr. Baer, it reflects both his work and the team around him.

Dr. Baer cares for patients with arthritis and performs hip and knee replacements. He focuses on clear plans, strong outcomes, and helping people get back to daily life. His patient ratings are very high, with more than 95% of patients saying they would recommend him.

Dr. Baer trained at the University of Minnesota and completed a fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He brings that training back to the Twin Cities to serve local patients.
He also helps lead at Summit Orthopedics. As the Chair of Summit Orthopedics Growth Committee, he has expanded Summit’s west metro presence in Plymouth, Maple Grove and Eden Prairie. Playing a key role at Summit’s new Plymouth Bass Lake Clinic, clinic care, therapy, imaging, and surgery were brought together, further enhancing patient experience.
Dr. Baer also serves on the Finance Committee. In this role, he helps guide smart growth and improve how care is delivered across the organization.
Outside of work, Dr. Baer gives his time to others. He has joined surgical mission trips to help patients in need and supports local education on injury prevention and joint health.
This award highlights strong leaders, but Dr. Baer sees it as something bigger. For him, it is about the team, the patients, and the shared goal of better care.
