Summit Orthopedics is proud to announce that Chief Administrative Officer Julie Garrison has been recognized as a 2026 Women in Business honoree by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
This annual recognition celebrates influential women leaders across the Twin Cities who are making a significant impact in their organizations, industries and communities through innovation, leadership, and business excellence.
Leadership That Drives Organizational Growth
Since joining Summit Orthopedics in 2018, Julie has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s culture, growth strategy, and leadership development initiatives. Beginning her tenure as Vice President of Human Resources, Julie later advanced to Vice President of Administration before assuming her current role as Chief Administrative Officer.
Throughout her leadership journey at Summit, Julie has helped guide the organization through substantial growth, contributing to the expansion of Summit’s workforce from approximately 750 employees to more than 1,200 team members today. Her strategic focus on recruitment, employee engagement, and physician retention has helped strengthen Summit’s position as an employer of choice within the healthcare industry.
“Julie’s leadership has had a transformative impact on our organization,” said Adam Berry, Chief Executive Officer. “She leads with vision, integrity and an unwavering commitment to people. This recognition is a reflection of the culture she has helped build at Summit Orthopedics and the countless individuals she has influenced throughout her career.”
Building a Culture of Continuous Improvement
In her current role, Julie oversees 65 organizational leaders and continues to champion professional development across the company. She facilitates quarterly leadership development sessions focused on continuous improvement, organizational effectiveness and people-centered leadership. In 2025, she championed Summit’s 1%, encouraging departments across the organization to pursue incremental operational and cultural improvements every day.
A Lasting Impact Beyond the Workplace
Beyond her work at Summit Orthopedics, Julie is actively involved in leadership and community organizations throughout Minnesota. She participates in Leadership Minnesota through the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and supports several youth-focused organizations dedicated to athletics, mentorship, and the arts.
The Women in Business honorees will be recognized by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal at an awards celebration later this year.
