Patient Resources for Back, Neck & Spine

Our spine team understands that your family and loved ones are part of your care. We coordinate your medical services so you don’t have to, including physical therapy; rehabilitation therapy; occupational therapy; imaging such as CAT scans, MRIs, and X-rays; and appointments with physicians who manage long-term pain medications, functional capacity evaluations, and electromyographic studies.

When you are considering surgical options, we encourage you to have a loved one present for the surgical consult. We know that the prospect of surgery can be emotionally charged, so we do everything we can to reduce your anxiety—including support for you as you consider and weigh your options. Our focus is on clearly and compassionately giving you the information you need about your surgical expectations. We explain why we are recommending surgery, tell you about complication rates, worst-case scenarios, what you are likely to expect afterward, your postoperative therapy requirements, and the predicted time frame to a full recovery. We know that when you understand your treatment options, with the opportunity to ask any questions you may have, you are in the best position to make a considered and informed decision.
