Each pair of tickets funds one life-saving surgery
100% of event proceeds go to One World Surgery
Surgery has been called the “neglected stepchild” of global public health. Five
billion people worldwide lack access to safe, quality surgery. One World
Surgery, a nonprofit organization, intends to change this reality. Currently
the surgery center in Honduras is open full time in addition to hosting
surgical missions annually, providing services across eight specialties.
Summit Orthopedics is proud to be a founding partner and long-time supporter of One World Surgery, a nonprofit with a mission to ignite the spirit of service and transform lives by providing access to high-quality surgical care globally.
In 2004, a Summit Orthopedics surgeon responded to an overwhelming need for quality surgical care in Honduras. With the help of fellow Summit surgeons, many friends and family, funds were raised to build and equip a world-class surgery center in Honduras. For the past 15 years, Summit physicians, clinical and nonclinical staff, and their families have volunteered to provide free, transformative surgical care to the poor in Honduras.
For years, patients have asked how they can learn more and join us in this important work. In response, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting our first annual One World Surgery Event.
I have no words to express my gratitude. I cannot believe that Dr. Merlin Antunez came to my house to see how I was after my surgeries. They also helped with transportation, lodging and other expenses we had. Amazing.
