Surgery Packing List
Have you thought about what to pack for your upcoming surgery? Here is a list of items you will want to bring with you on surgery day! Please also remember to leave any jewelry/valuables at home. You will need to arrange for an adult friend, family member or caregiver to stay during your procedure. You will need someone to drive you home and be available to help care for you during the first 24 hours after discharge.
Items to Bring:
- List of all medications and doses
- All actual medications including any OTC medications, home medications, and medications prescribed by Patient Navigator during joint camp in their original, labeled bottles along with the booklet.
- A copy of your healthcare directive
- Photo ID
- Insurance Card
- Glasses / Contacts / Hearing Aids
- Toiletries
- Comfortable clothing with elastic waistbands, preferably gym shorts or sweats
- Solid, well-fitting tennis shoes
- Cell phone with charger
- Walker or assistive devices as needed
- Book, Word Search etc.
