What is the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval, and how does that impact my care?

Behind every Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval is a facility committed to quality. Joint Commission accreditation can be earned by many types of health care organizations, including ambulatory surgery centers.

As a patient, you can have confidence in the caliber of all Summit Orthopedics’ surgery centers, where you are entrusting your treatment. The Gold Seal of Approval is a nationally recognized measure that independently confirms two of our values: safety and quality.

“Organizations that strive for accreditation in ambulatory care from The Joint Commission are demonstrating the highest commitment to quality and safety to their patients, staff and their community,” says Michael Kulczycki, executive director, Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program, The Joint Commission. “I commend Vadnais Heights Surgery Center, Eagan Surgery Center, Plymouth Surgery Center, and Landmark Surgery Center for successfully achieving this pinnacle and for its dedication to continually improving patient care.”
