Meet Dr. Ike Hasley

Ike Hasley, M.D., is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist (also known as PM&R or physiatry) with subspecialty training in sports medicine. He is dedicated to helping people stay active, from “weekend warriors” to elite athletes.

Dr. Hasley played a lot of high school sports — among them basketball, football, track, and baseball — and during his undergraduate career at St. Louis University, he played on the school’s Division II rugby team. Throughout his athletic career, he was always interested in learning about ways to maximize function and performance, and sharing what he learned about conditioning and injury prevention with his teammates.

Dr. Ike Hasley’s background

Dr. Hasley earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, receiving distinctions in healthcare delivery science and management. He completed residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, in the PM&R department. He then went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis. During that time, he served as a team physician for the Minnesota Twins (MLB), the Minnesota Timberwolves (NBA), the Minnesota Lynx (WNBA), and North Central University (NCAA Division III).

Today, Dr. Hasley specializes in the cutting-edge world of ultrasound-guided procedures, including injections, Tenex tenotomy procedures, and ultrasound diagnostics. He is an expert in orthobiologics, including platelet-rich plasma and stem cell injections.

Dr. Ike Hasley’s practice philosophy

The most important part of Dr. Hasley’s practice philosophy is his commitment to prioritizing his patients’ needs. “My goal is to listen to you, find out what’s going on with your body, then help you get better, so you can get back to what you love to do,” Dr. Hasley said.

He uses the full range of diagnostic tools at his disposal to determine the source of a patient’s pain or functional limitations and then provides a whole spectrum of treatment options. “I want my patients to see me as someone who will go above and beyond to get them the answers they need — and get them the right treatments to address their issue,” Dr. Hasley said.

More about Dr. Hasley

When he’s not working, Dr. Hasley makes sure to be physically active every day, whether it’s going to the gym or getting outside on hikes, walks, or runs with his wife and dog. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching Minnesota sports, travel, and golf.
