Three Summit Physicians Named Best Doctors
Summit is proud to have Drs. Jonathan Biebl, Peter Daly, and James Gannon among Minnesota Monthly’s peer-selected Best Doctors in 2016.

This year, Minnesota Monthly surveyed 10,000 licensed Minnesota doctors to learn which doctors they would trust to care for their loved ones. The most frequently selected physicians comprise the magazine’s 2016 list of 877 Best Doctors in the Twin Cities. We are proud to have three Summit orthopedic specialists included in their list.
These honored physicians exemplify the Summit Orthopedics mission to improve and restore quality of life for our patients and the communities we serve. Our practice has evolved to meet you in the spaces where you pursue your goals: providing medical care on the field at your child’s game and at the fun runs you enjoy, offering health and wellness counseling in Woodbury at the HealthEast Sports Center, designing community surgery centers that optimize your safe recovery with comfortable convenience, organizing fitness classes and one-on-one physical training with performance specialists, sponsoring charitable activities that benefit our local and global communities, educating the next generation of orthopedic healthcare professionals, and treating each patient with the specialized orthopedic care and personal consideration that every person deserves.
Our Summit Orthopedics team works hard every day to help you accomplish the healthcare goals that matter most to you. We deeply appreciate the Minnesota medical community’s recognition of our efforts through their inclusion of three of our colleagues in the 2016 Minnesota Monthly list of Best Doctors.
Dr. Jonathan Biebl
Dr. Biebl’s specialties include shoulder, hip, and knee care, and joint preservation and restoration. He cares for a wide range of patients—from youngsters to grandparents. His goal is simple: he collaborates with his patients to help them reclaim the activities that matter to them.
Dr. Peter Daly
Dr. Daly’s specialties include knee, shoulder, hip, sports medicine, and joint preservation and restoration. Because shoulder arthritis has prompted him to adjust his own activities, he brings personal perspective as well as medical expertise to his patients who are dealing with the same kinds of issues. Dr. Daly’s dedication to community health extends beyond his immediate community; he was recently recognized with the Dr. Thomas A. Dooley Award by his alma mater, the University of Notre Dame, for his volunteer medical service in Honduras and his global commitment to addressing disparities in medical and surgical care for the poor.
Dr. James Gannon
Dr. Gannon’s specialties include knee, shoulder, sports medicine, joint preservation and restoration, and arthroscopy. He has practiced in St. Paul for more than 20 years; in some cases, he has cared for three generations of the families who place their trust in us.
Like our three Best Doctors, all of us at Summit Orthopedics are committed to providing you and your family with quality care, whether you need immediate treatment for an injury, evaluation of a long-term medical issue, or are simply seeking information to help you stay active and healthy.
