12 Summit Physicians Honored with 2022 Top Doctors Recognition
On behalf of the whole Summit Orthopedics team, we are delighted to announce and celebrate our 12 2022 Top Doctors, as selected by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.

What makes a great doctor? Is it technical skill? Diagnostic ability? Creating a treatment plan that works for a patient’s lifestyle, not just for the patient’s orthopedic issue? Perhaps it’s something harder to define, like being a good listener or giving every patient plenty of time and personal attention. At Summit Orthopedics, we’re proud to say that our doctors have it all — and for proof, look no further than this year’s 2022 Top Doctors list.
The 12 physicians featured on this year’s list from Mpls.St.Paul Magazine are each outstanding in their specialties. The selection process for the 2022 Top Doctors list is extensive. It begins with a survey sent out to physicians across Minnesota, asking them to name the doctors they would choose to go to themselves or would recommend to a family member. The doctors who make the cut go through an additional evaluation process by an expert panel before being named to the prestigious list.
Congratulations to our 12 amazing 2022 Top Doctors! We’re glad you’re part of the Summit family.

-
Edward Santos, M.D.
“I am committed to providing the best care possible for all of my patients with spine disorders. I treat each and every patient as I would treat any member of my family. I also believe in the importance of having a thorough discussion of both surgical and nonsurgical options, with the goal of relieving pain and restoring function.”
-
David H. Strothman, M.D.
“Spinal disorders are complex and disabling. As your surgeon I will explain your diagnosis and treatment options, both operative and non-operative, in a way that you can understand thereby allowing you to make informed decisions. I am rewarded daily by improving the quality of life of patients receiving my care.”
-
Andrew Thomas, M.D.
“I am continually amazed by the mixture of strength, elegance, and humanity that come together in my patients’ hands and feel fortunate to be able to play a role in helping them when they encounter disease or injury as they seek
