Haiti's earthquake disaster has become a reality for several physicians and providers from Summit Orthopedics.

Peter Daly, MD, Michael Forseth, MD, Daren Wickum, MD and Mary Aschenbrener, PA-C recently traveled together for ten days to Port-au-Prince along with family members and colleagues to assist in relief efforts.

The team responded to an urgent request for help from Fr. Rick Frechette, a physician and priest who oversees St. Damien Hospital Haiti, located just miles outside of the quake's epicenter. Summit representatives joined the staff at the hospital as volunteer orthopedic experts.

On February 2, 2010, several other Summit physicians and providers departed for this humanitarian effort, including Jerome Perra, MD, Mark Holm, MD and Brett Osgood, PA-C.
