- Stand in front of a step 6-10 inches tall
- Place foot of surgical leg in the middle of step and raise to standing while keeping pelvis level
- Come to a full standing position on top of step
- Step down with non-surgical leg and return to starting position
- Perform 3 sets of 10-12 repetitions
- Repeat on opposite leg
